Loraine Klassen

Change is possible for everyone, and my focus is on empowering my client to experience this change. I want to help you own your own story, embrace your vulnerabilities, and reconnect with your inner resources in order to implement positives changes in your life. I have a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, and I am Registered Clinical Counsellor. My approach to therapy integrates various experiential modalities, including the Satir Model, Narrative Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. I work from a systemic framework that considers the impact of various relationships and experiences in your life and how they contribute to your places of "stuckness". My strong belief is that effective therapy is co-created through the client and the therapist working together. Focusing on a positively directional experiential approach in each session I will bring curiosity and compassion as we work together towards change. Through my own struggles and challenges, I have come to appreciate the freedom that comes along with a deeper sense of self acceptance. My invitation for you is that you will also embrace the journey towards experiencing this freedom as well be able to invest in yourself too. I am looking forward to meeting you and working together.

I am passionate about helping clients in the areas of trauma, abuse, depression/anxiety and family relationships/marriage. I have specialized training in marriage and family therapy as well as trauma processing.  The hurts that occurs in our most primary relationships can have significant and devastating impact on our lives but does not have to stay that way forever. I also have a special interest in coming alongside women who have experienced relationship betrayals through their partners use of pornography. Please contact me for further information about an upcoming group focused on this topic.
