Mindfulness is a skill and requires ongoing dedication and practice. If you have taken an 8 week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course in the past and noticed that your practice has begun to slip and/or that you have hit a plateau in your practice and would like the deepen the skills you learned throughout MBSR, than this graduated course is for you!

Experience the nourishment that comes from prolonged silence and stillness in this half day mindfulness and meditation retreat.  Instructions and guidance will be provided throughout the day on various meditative/contemplative practices including; walking, seated/lying down, and metta (loving-kindness), as well as prolonged periods of silence for deeper introspection. Time will be given before the end of the retreat to reflect and ask questions about the practice. Various props (including chairs) are available for use.

Trauma Informed Yoga Training for Yoga & Healthcare Professionals

Traumatic events may lead to isolation, dysregulation, anxiety and depression and may result in individuals developing dysfunctional coping strategies. This training will look at the therapeutic application of the philosophy and practice of trauma informed yoga when working with trauma survivors. Participants will learn to teach safe, body-based, self-regulation techniques to meet the needs of a wide variety of people to support their day to day functioning and long term healing. This training is suitable for anyone working with populations in need.

Each series is intended to facilitate connection to your body through practicing grounding exercises, movement with breath and holding shapes that ask you to notice the different parts of your being.

To thaw is to melt, to allow what has become hard and brittle in our bodies and souls to dissolve and melt. It can also be a soft and gentle way to be friendly with our bodies.
Sometimes to thaw may be a gesture of letting go and releasing whatever has held us still, rigid, frozen. Other times to thaw may be a time to break open, to unveil the parts of us that have been kept hidden in order to grow. Sometimes it's both.
Come explore what it means to thaw, to soften and to emerge.

Founded by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn in 1979, the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program is an evidence based secular (nonreligious) intensive mindfulness meditation training program. The primary aim of the MBSR program is to support new ways of learning and being far beyond the completion of the program, and into the rest of one’s life. Since the beginning, MBSR has been at the forefront of scientific research revealing time and time again that those who practice in mindfulness based practices experience improvements in;

Stress, Depression, Anxiety, Chronic Pain, Sleep, Immune System Functioning, Weight Management, Concentration, Communication, Relationships, andoverall enduring health and well-being.
