One of the key components of therapy at Re.Pose is being trauma informed.  Whether you're a yoga teacher, therapist or really, in any helping profession, being trauma informed in your practice can deeply impact your client's ability to have a predictable and safe environment in which to heal, re-associate with their bodies, and move on towards a more regulated life.  This is why we offer Trauma Informed Yoga Training for all practitioners with Nicole Marcia from Fine Balance Yoga!

May & June Yoga @ Re.Pose

In:Body – Yoga for Embodied Self-Compassion is intended to create a space for you to take notice.  Take notice of the physical vessel  (your body) that carries you around day by day, hour by hour, moment by moment.  Perhaps you will also notice that your physical vessel also carries your emotions around day by day, hour by hour, moment by moment.

Sometimes we look at our bodies (and emotions) and our first instinct is to want to change them.  What if we took a step back and first, look, notice our bodies and instead of immediately desiring or imposing change, listen to what our bodies want to say to us?

In:Body - Yoga for Embodied Self-Compassion is an opportunity to open the conversation.  Did you know that for every 1 message our brain sends to our body, our body sends 9 messages back?  That's a LOT to say.

You're invited to explore what it means to be IN your BODY, connecting to it, listening to it, awakening to it and perhaps, create a loving, compassionate relationship with it.

Yoga in March : Softening to our Relationship with our Bodies

"THAW: Softening to our Relationship with our Bodies through Yoga".

To thaw is to melt, to allow what has become hard and brittle in our bodies and souls to dissolve and melt. It can also be a soft and gentle way to be friendly with our bodies.
Sometimes to thaw may be a gesture of letting go and releasing whatever has held us still, rigid, frozen. Other times to thaw may be a time to break open, to unveil the parts of us that have been kept hidden in order to grow. Sometimes it's both.
Come explore what it means to thaw, to soften and to emerge.
